Libra: The Scales |
The word libra means equal or balanced and the constellation gets this name from the fact that some 2500 years ago, when the constellation were first invented, the Sun passed through this constellation during the autumnal equinox. However this is no longer the case but the name remains even though the Sun is now in the constellation after the equinox.
