Aries: The Ram |
Aries is the first of the zodiacal star signs and as such is often associated with renewal and birth of new life. In Greek Mythology the sign of Aries is associated with the the tale of Jason and the Argonauts, where the fleece is guarded by a sleeping dragon. The fleece of the Argonauts quest is said to be a gift from the god Mercury the messenger of the gods who sent the magical flying Ram to save King Thebes' Children from the mistreatment of their stepmother.
